Learning lessons and taking remedial actions is an intrinsic part of your readiness programme. You can (and perhaps should) create follow-up actions at the same time as adding lessons learned out of evaluations. On an Evaluation Details Page, navigate to the Lesson and Actions tab in the second half of the page, and click '+ Lesson'. This opens the Add Lesson modal, where you input the following information:
Title;
Capability to which the lesson relates;
Activity at which this Lesson was learned;
Priority, of Low, Medium or High;
Lesson Type, which can be created by admin users in Settings;
and an optional Description.
Then, click 'Continue'. This creates the lesson and gives you the option to create actions to be taken as a result. Simply input the following information:
Title;
Owner responsible for completing the action;
Date on which the action is due.
Then, click 'Continue' or add more actions. Your lesson and action will now be visible in the Lessons and Actions tab on the Evaluation Details Page and the original Capability Details Page, as well as in the Lessons and Actions list.
Your Action will have been created with a status of 'Active'. This can be changed to 'Draft', 'Slipped' or 'Complete', depending on its progress, by clicking on the banner that displays that status.
You can also add Lessons / Actions in the Lessons / Actions Lists. Click on 'Capabilities' in the left-hand sidebar, select 'Lessons' / 'Actions' at the top of the list, and click '+ Lesson' / '+ Action'. You can also add a lesson or action at anytime by clicking the 'Add' button in the top right-hand corner of any page. Then, just follow similar steps to input the same information.
